Overview
This 10-day safari adventure takes you deep into Tanzania’s most iconic national parks and cultural destinations. From the lush greenery of Arusha National Park to the elephant herds of Tarangire, the birdlife of Lake Manyara, the wild Hadzabe hunters of Lake Eyasi, and the flamingo-rich Lake Natron, this journey is filled with both cultural and wildlife highlights. The Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater crown the experience, offering unrivaled Big Cat sightings, the Great Migration (seasonal), and breathtaking landscapes. This is a true African safari that blends nature, culture, and unforgettable wilderness encounters.
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where you will be met by your safari guide and transferred to Arusha. The remainder of the day is for rest, relaxation by the pool, or exploring the town at leisure. Dinner and overnight at Masailand Safari Lodge.
Today you will enjoy a full-day walking safari in Arusha National Park, exploring lush vegetation, Ngurdoto Crater, and wildlife such as colobus monkeys, giraffes, zebras, buffalo, and waterbucks. Picnic lunch will be served in a scenic spot before continuing your exploration. Return to Arusha for dinner and overnight at Masailand Safari Lodge.
After an early breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, famous for its giant baobabs and large elephant herds. Visit the Tarangire River, a lifeline for countless animals and bird species. Enjoy excellent game viewing before spending the night at Tarangire Special Campsite.
Depart Tarangire and continue to Lake Manyara National Park, nestled along the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Explore its diverse ecosystems of grasslands, woodlands, and soda lake. Look out for elephants, flamingos, rich birdlife, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Special Campsite.
This morning, join your bushman guide for a cultural encounter with the Hadzabe people, East Africa’s last hunter-gatherers. Learn about their hunting skills, fire-making, and honey collection. Later, meet the Datoga blacksmiths before heading to Lake Natron, home of flamingos and striking volcanic landscapes. Overnight at Engaresero Special Campsite.
Begin the day with a Maasai cultural experience, visiting a traditional boma and learning about their customs and way of life. Afterwards, drive to Serengeti National Park, entering the legendary plains where wildlife encounters begin. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Special Campsite.
Spend the day exploring the Serengeti, renowned for its endless plains and incredible predator sightings. Witness large herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles, along with giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and predators such as lions, leopards, and cheetahs. Return to Serengeti Special Campsite for overnight.
Enjoy another exciting day in the Serengeti, maximizing your chances of seeing the Big Five and seasonal migration herds. Visit the hippo pool, observe prides of lions, and marvel at the diverse birdlife. Sunset over the Serengeti plains makes for a magical safari ending. Overnight at Serengeti Special Campsite.
After a final morning game drive in Serengeti, drive towards Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural sanctuary for lions, elephants, buffalo, rhinos, and more. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Special Campsite.
After breakfast, you will be transferred back to Arusha and onward to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight connection, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzanian safari.
