Overview
This 6-day Serengeti and Ngorongoro safari offers you the ultimate chance to explore Tanzania’s most iconic wildlife destinations. From the bustling town of Arusha to the vast plains of Serengeti and the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater, this adventure combines spectacular game drives, scenic landscapes, and rich cultural encounters. You will experience the Big Five, witness the great migration (seasonal), and enjoy comfortable stays in carefully selected lodges and camps.
Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), you will be warmly greeted by your safari guide and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. This day is dedicated to relaxation after your long journey, preparing you for the adventures ahead. Overnight stay at Mount Meru Hotel.
After an early breakfast, depart from Arusha and enjoy a scenic drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area as you head towards Serengeti National Park. You will experience your first en-route game drive while entering the endless plains of the Serengeti, spotting wildlife along the way. In the evening, check in at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp for dinner and overnight.
Spend a full day exploring the Serengeti with morning and afternoon game drives in search of lions, cheetahs, leopards, and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. For a truly unforgettable experience, you may opt for a hot air balloon safari at sunrise (extra cost). Overnight stay at Kon Tiki Serengeti Camp.
After a morning game drive in Serengeti, continue your journey toward Ngorongoro. Along the way, you can opt to visit a Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions. The scenery shifts from open plains to highland forests, with spectacular views of the Ngorongoro Crater rim. Overnight stay at Rhino Lodge.
Today, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive. Often referred to as the “Eighth Wonder of the World,” the crater is home to lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalo, flamingos, and many more species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a scenic spot inside the crater before continuing your wildlife exploration. Overnight stay at Rhino Lodge.
After a leisurely breakfast, depart for Arusha with the option of a short cultural stop at Mto wa Mbu village. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey.
